Car enthusiasts, mark your calendars for June 1! The 24th annual Borders 3 Jamboree, hosted by the Rod Benders Car Club, is gearing up to revitalize downtown Bonners Ferry with the gleam of classic cars, vibrant festivities and community spirit.

Since its inception in 1999, the Rod Benders Car Club has been a beacon for vintage car lovers, organizing monthly meetups, cruises and memorable events. However, the Borders 3 Jamboree stands out as the pinnacle of their efforts, captivating hearts and minds for over two decades.

Held annually on the first Saturday of June, the Borders 3 Jamboree has become a beloved tradition, eagerly anticipated by enthusiasts across Idaho, Washington, Oregon and Canada. This year, the show promises to uphold its reputation as a gathering of automotive excellence and camaraderie.

All day long, starting as early as 8am, expect to witness a stunning array of classic vehicles, as owners proudly showcase their meticulously restored treasures. From gleaming muscle cars to elegant cruisers, the Borders 3 Jamboree celebrates automotive history in all its glory. Open to all classes, awards will be given for special class, rat rod, motorcycle and more! “Come see the classic cars and all the hard work that goes into them!” Kat Cowell, event leader, encourages. “This year marks our 25th anniversary, so we have some special things planned to celebrate.”

But the event isn't just about cars; it's a celebration of community. “We will have several food vendors downtown and are already working with downtown businesses,” shares Kat. “We’re all looking forward to it being an awesome day for everybody!” There will be additional activities catered to kids starting around noon, as well as exciting contests such as limbo, hula hooping and the chicken dance. With surprises and prizes galore, it is sure to be a fun-filled day for young ones.

Moreover, the Borders 3 Jamboree isn't just about merriment; it's about giving back. As a nonprofit club, the Rod Benders Car Club channels all proceeds from the event back into the community, supporting initiatives such as Distinguished Young Women, Leadership, BoCo Backpacks, FFA and 4-H programs.

Registration for participants runs 8 to 11am on the day of the event, conveniently located near Woody’s Pawn Shop. Whether you're showcasing your pride and joy or simply soaking in the spectacle, there's something for everyone at the Borders 3 Jamboree.

The day's festivities culminate in an awards ceremony, where standout participants receive recognition for their automotive achievements.
