Hometown Holidays Bonners Ferry

Each winter season in Bonners Ferry, the town comes alive to celebrate the holidays. An annual celebration throughout town, and one you most certainly don’t want to miss, is Hometown Holidays. 2022 festivities are scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 3.

For all those ladies out there, Ladies on the Loose, hosted by the Bonners Ferry Chamber, returns for its sixth year. The shopping extravaganza, which kicks off at 9am and continues until 4pm, is part of the Hometown Holidays celebrations that will be taking place throughout the day at participating businesses. Women of all ages can spend some quality time together while shopping for those holiday gifts and supporting locally owned businesses. Participating locations will have specials and goodies.

Pick up your map and be sure to get it stamped at each of the participating locations. At the end of the day, each shopper who has their map fully stamped leaves it at their final stop to be entered into a prize drawing.

The Pearl Theater will once again be hosting a free Christmas movie that all ages are sure to enjoy; this year they'll be featuring “Olive, the Other Reindeer." Doors open at 1:30pm, with the movie promptly starting at 2pm, and there will be free popcorn and juice boxes for the kids to enjoy during the movie.

Following the movie, the excitement continues, as Santa and Mrs. Claus will be riding in on a fire truck and making a pre-Christmas appearance at the Georgia Mae Plaza at 4pm, with Santa lighting up the plaza! Make sure the kids have their letters to Santa written and signed. There will be cookies, hot cocoa and cider, courtesy of Safeway and Super 1, candy canes thanks to Grocery Outlet, and Christmas goodie bags for all kids in line to see Santa! And the day of fun wouldn’t be complete without a little caroling and entertainment.

Spend a day with family and friends here at home. There’s nothing like the holidays in our hometown of Bonners Ferry. Get out and enjoy!
