Fry Healthcare Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament happens next month!

By Colin Anderson

There’s a good chance that the Fry Healthcare Foundation has had an impact on your family. The locally operated nonprofit collects and disperses funds, goods and services to meet the ongoing needs of Boundary Community Hospital and Extended Care Facility. This can be anything from funding various programs at the hospital, to the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment, or financing remodels, expansion and other construction projects. The organization has raised well over $1 million over the past two decades, and a large portion of that comes from its two primary fundraisers throughout the year.

After the event was canceled last year, organizers are hoping for a great turnout in 2021 and are working to ensure that there will be plenty of fun to be had at the annual Fry Healthcare Foundation Golf Tournament. Mirror Lake will again play host to this tournament, which is welcome to players of all skill levels. The 12th annual event will take place on Friday, September 10, with registration at 8am, followed by a 9am start time.

At the time of this writing, final details were still being put together, but participants can expect to have a lot of fun, just as in previous years. Assemble your team and compete for multiple prizes. There are also individual awards and prizes for longest drive, longest putt, most accurate drive, and closest to the pin. The great golf ball drop will also be back, which always comes with a fabulous prize to the lucky winner.

The event is always looking for prize donations as well as sponsorships. If your business would like to participate, you can reach out to Fry Healthcare at 208.267.6912 or email fryhealthcare@bcch.org. Registration will be open soon and you can get the most up-to-date details at the hospital’s website, BoundaryCommunityHospital.org/foundation/annual-golf-tournament, or by following the Fry Healthcare Foundation on Facebook.
