Cheers to Health and Beauty This Season
Fall has arrived here in North Idaho in all its splendor and glory, making the transition from summer to fall welcomed and appreciated. With the kids back in school and the carefree days of summer concluded, we find ourselves back into the swing of routine and schedules. Now is a wonderful time to put some focus on yourself, both in health and beauty.
In this issue of Bonners Ferry Living Local, we’ve put together some wonderful stories you’re sure to enjoy. Looking for a healthy getaway? Our travel article takes you to San Diego, where The Fairmont Grand Del Mar and the Kona Kai Resort will both promise a wellness vacation to soothe the mind and body. Our feature story invites you to explore what's trending in skin care, and the top treatments to keep you aging gracefully. Looking for ways to inspire active play for your child's health? We’ve got you covered there as well.
As this fall marks the 12th year of A Night For the Museum to benefit Boundary County Museum, you can find out more about this fundraising event and how you can become a member of the museum. We also shine a light on Boundary County Victim Services and their annual Fall Festival. And meet the Friends of Kootenai National Wildlife Refuge, a local nonprofit that supports and promotes wildlife refuge through outdoor education programs and community events. Be sure to read about Emma Tompkins, our student in the spotlight, and Connie Perez, our teacher in the spotlight. Then we put the spotlight on Bellagente, where owner Krystal Maas and her team of “salon girls” are ready to pamper you.
And don’t forget to check out our calendar of events for all the fun that’s happening this fall.We hope you enjoy this issue of Bonners Ferry Living Local as much as we did creating it for you.
