February 28
The Fry Healthcare Foundation invites the community to step into an evening of elegance, purpose, and connection as Festival of Hearts returns on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Held at the Kootenai River Inn in Bonners Ferry, this year’s Gala Night embraces a Golden Era Glamour theme while continuing a long-standing tradition of supporting healthcare close to home.
Festival of Hearts has become one of Boundary County’s most anticipated annual events. It brings together neighbors, friends, and local businesses for a night that blends celebration with meaningful impact. Guests can expect a thoughtfully planned evening beginning at 5:00 p.m., complete with dinner, an engaging program, live music, a high-energy live auction, and the always-competitive Dessert Dash.
Beyond the glamour, the heart of the evening is its purpose. Proceeds from Festival of Hearts directly benefit Boundary Community Hospital through the Fry Healthcare Foundation, helping ensure patients can receive quality care without leaving the community.
Supporting Rehabilitation Close to Home
This year’s Fund-a-Need focuses on raising support for a LiteGait Suspension Frame with treadmill. This advanced rehabilitation tool assists both children and adults during gait and balance training. The system allows patients to practice walking in a safer, more controlled environment while helping them build strength and confidence.
The LiteGait also supports therapists by reducing physical strain during hands-on mobility training, allowing them to focus more fully on patient care. Adding this equipment at Boundary Community Hospital means expanded rehabilitation services and improved outcomes for local patients who would otherwise need to travel for specialized therapy.
Community Impact That Stays Local
Festival of Hearts reflects the direct impact of community support. Funds raised through the event and through year-round giving help the Fry Healthcare Foundation invest in essential medical equipment, facility improvements, and programs that strengthen care at Boundary Community Hospital.
Each contribution supports local families by keeping more services available right here in Boundary County. The result is a stronger hospital, improved patient experiences, and a healthcare system that continues to grow alongside the community it serves.
Tickets, Sponsorships, and Participation
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities for Festival of Hearts are available now. Local businesses and individuals are also encouraged to donate auction items or experiences, which play a key role in the evening’s success. Participation at every level helps move the mission forward and ensures the hospital can continue meeting the needs of the community.
