9B Ladies

A day for women to be inspired and empowered, the annual 9B Ladies Event returns to the Kootenai River Inn on Friday, March 17. Held 9am to 4pm, just 50 tickets are available to this day focused on women—with this year’s theme of “Empowerment.”

This is your chance to enjoy a day of workshops and speakers and support our local ladies in business.

“We focused this year on women empowering women,” says Jennifer Van Etten, who organizes the event.

For those interested in a booth to sell your goods or services, booths are free this year with your prepaid ticket. (This offer is valid to the first 10 ladies who wish to do so; no holds or refunds for no-shows.)

The morning will kick off with Debbie Heiser, teacher, connector, inspirer and healer, who will do a three-hour interactive workshop, in which she will tell stories and discuss money and sales.

Afterward, author Carolyn Birrell will discuss the launching of her book, “Walking with Fay,” and speak a bit about her road to becoming the woman she is today, as well as entrepreneurship.

Lindsay Sutherland, business builder and passive income specialist, will give a talk on "Your Someday Dream Starts Here."

Guests will also have the opportunity to listen to Julie McLeish, Reiki Master and holistic health coach.

“We always choose our speakers as to their benefit to the community,” affirms Jennifer.

“Local women are always encouraged to share their stories. As the Chamber of Commerce, we promote local [women-owned] businesses to showcase their many home-based businesses here.”

Attendees will be treated to delicious light snacks throughout the day, including a Taco Bar lunch. At the end of the event, all attendees will be given a beverage ticket to enjoy a social hour with light appetizers and good conversations. There will be door prizes and raffles throughout the day as well. All ladies will take home an incredible swag bag too.

If a business would like to donate items to the swag bags, they can call Jennifer Van Etten at 208.304.9050, and she can pick them up.

Be ready to be inspired and feel empowered. Register today. Registration to attend the event is $60 per person and can be done by emailing

Treat yourself to this special day. You deserve it!
