Winter Adventures

Winter in Bonners Ferry is time to get your heart or your engine up and running. Explore miles of trails by snowshoe, cross-country skiing or by snowmobile. On days when it’s too cold to venture outside, head over to the Boundary County Museum for a history lesson on all the early settlers and the Kootenai tribe. Book a night stay at the Kootenai River Inn and enjoy nearly 500 gaming machines, dinner, a relaxing spa treatment and beautiful view of the river. Enjoy hot cocoa and coffee at one of the many quaint downtown restaurants and cafes, including Under the Sun and the Kootenai River Brewing Company.

Bonners Ferry Holiday Market

The Bonners Ferry Farmer's Market (running year round) is one of the oldest farmers' markets in the state of Idaho. They have expanded our range of offerings and market hours over the years. The market has grown from a few hardy souls selling produce and bare-root plants to an average of nearly 30 vendors per market day with everything from salad mix, herbal vinegars and spices to handmade soaps, handspun yarn, basketry and lawn furniture. Many local small businesses have gotten their "training wheels" by participating in this market. In 2004 they added a Holiday Market in November showcasing holiday gifts, winter produce, and local artisans. Visit www.bonnersferryfarmersmarket.org for more information.
